South Arts - Artist Creative Practice
The Artist Creative Practice Grant supports a variety of professional development opportunities including milestone activities in an artist's career that will likely lead to substantial career growth.
Grants up to $3,000 are available for opportunities taking re available for opportunities takingplace between November 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
Individuals receiving this award are eligible to apply for other South Arts funding including the Southern Prize and State Fellowships, Jazz Road, and others for projects unrelated to the proposed activity.

A Blade of Grass - Artist Creative Practice
Distributes fifty $500 grants per year to artists throughout the country.
The Bennett Prize: Propelling the Careers of Women Figurative Realist Painters
Awarded biennially and provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years to the winning artist ($50,000 total). Ten finalists will be selected to participate in a traveling exhibition organized by the Michigan based Muskegon Museum of Art. The winner will be showcased in a solo exhibition at the close of her grant. A runner up award of $10,000 will be given to one additional finalist.
Innovate Grant
Innovate Grant distributes two $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (12) honorable mentions (6 in art and 6 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists.
Grant cycles are in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
The Alexia
The Alexia promotes the power of visual storytelling to shed light on significant issues around the world by supporting photographers and filmmakers whose work informs, fosters cultural understanding and inspires meaningful change.
More than $1.7 million in grants has gone to 170 student and professional photographers through the program’s annual competitions. At a time when many other resources have dwindled, The Alexia continues to support documentary photography and film making on academic and professional levels.
The 2026 submission cycle will open Jan. 13 and close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Feb. 13.
Pollock-Krasner Foundation - Artistic Merit Grants
The Foundation provides unrestricted financial resources to exceptional visual artists. The grants can be used in any way that allows an artist to meaningfully pursue their practice. Grants are typically used to create new work, acquire supplies, rent studio space, prepare for exhibitions, attend a residency, and offset living expenses.
