AEP6 STUDY

ECONOMIC IMPACT OF NONPROFIT ARTS

The arts are more than just a way to inspire people and fuel creativity. They enhance tourism and create business opportunities across Franklin County. From developing new skills for workers, to revitalizing our historic downtown areas, to creating communities where people like to live — the county’s arts and creativity industry benefits every resident.

The Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) is an economic and social impact study of the nonprofit arts and culture industry conducted every five years to report the impact of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations. AEP6 examined the impact in North Carolina using data provided by more than 30 organizations across the state.
